The Power of Community

Welcome to

Find your people

Our modern economy isn’t working.

It isn’t working for our communities, our planet, or for us as human beings.

We deserve better, our entrepreneurs and freelancers are building a brighter future but don’t get the respect they’re due.

We’re TownSq, a B Corp that creates communities of flex workers and entrepreneurial folks across the UK.

We support the development of people, places, and communities at home and around the world.

We believe that when people come together they can achieve more than they ever could apart.

What do we do?

How do we do it?

What if there were no freelancers?

Our economy relies on freelancers.

In the UK there are more freelancers than all the people employed by the NHS - the UK’s largest employer - but time and time again we hear stories of freelancers being under appreciated and disrespected.

Is this reliance stretched? Do freelancers deserve more respect?

We explore these important questions in our latest What if? white paper.

Making flexible work work.

Flexible work is about more than just the work.

It’s who you spend time with, where you choose to be, and how you make it work for you.

Our spaces are for flex workers looking for somewhere local to stay productive and connected.

We believe strongly in this mission, so we launched a research campaign called Boot the Commute and wrote a whitepaper called What if everyone could walk to work?

PRACTICAL HELP & ADVICE

What do people say?

Sarah Eynon Fig Tree HR

Sarah Eynon, Fig Tree HR

“Here you can build better relationships – everyone has the same aim, and connections are easier to make.”

Lyndsey Lee, LCL Virtual PA

“I do feel like some of the members are not just ‘someone that I work with’ – I would call them friends.”

Founders create prosperity, connect the dots, and are responsible for the majority of new jobs - so why for so long has support for them been so dull - lacking in energy, empathy and understanding?

The UK would be better off with a TownSq in every town square, so that’s our mission.
