FAW partners with TownSq
FAW partners with TownSq to connect local clubs and businesses across Wales
The Football Association of Wales has partnered with entrepreneurship experts Town Square Spaces Ltd (TownSq), with a focus on supporting Novira Cymru Leagues clubs as they widen their business offerings in local communities.
As a B Corp, TownSq creates communities across the UK that enable business growth through collaboration, support and leadership. TownSq provides workspaces through its hubs across Wales and England, and through TownSq Business Support, guides founders from an idea right through to launching, investment and growth.
The partnership will involve working closely with clubs across the Novira Cymru Leagues to support with developing their offering to the local, regional and national business community.
Gareth Jones, CEO of TownSq, said: “We are beyond excited to start this project with the FAW - bringing SMEs and Welsh businesses closer to the heart of football in Wales through the Cymru Leagues.
“There are some massive milestones coming in the next few years for Welsh football, from the relaunch of the Cymru Premier this summer, to the hope of representation at the Women’s World Cup in Brazil next year, and then the men’s EURO 2028 kicking off in Cardiff.
“Football in Wales is in a really good position to capitalise on these opportunities and more, and our goal is to enable more SMEs to be a part of the team creating these moments of sporting history.”
TownSq runs numerous business clubs and support programmes each year, including Startup Club, an after-work scheme to help people who want to start a business but are unable to quit their job, TownSq Accelerator, to fast-track businesses that are aiming to grow quickly, and Bootcamps to give people the skills to run their own enterprises.

“Clubs have already started engaging with local and national businesses as part of their strategic planning, but there remains significant untapped potential that this partnership will aim to unlock. We have the opportunity to create a unique offering across Wales, which will play a game-changing role for clubs and their communities.”
