From Startup to Launch; Kelly’s Journey with TownSq.

Follow Fleurs Forever has officially launched!

Kelly Gleadall is the founder of Follow Fleurs Forever, a boutique florist service that has just launched. At 45 years old, Kelly is venturing into the world of business for the first time, turning her love for flowers into a professional endeavour.

Starting Follow Fleurs Forever

Kelly’s business journey into floristry began after undergoing major surgery in October 2023.

With her children all grown up and having more time on her hands, Kelly felt it was the right time to start something new, and so in the new year, signed up for the StartUpClub course. With no prior business experience, Kelly was searching for support to help her to bring her vision to life.

With over 12 years experience in floristry, Kelly wanted to ensure her business would  give back to the community and wanted to help as many people as she could. After attending wedding and craft fayres to gain inspiration, she found that a lot of people within the industry faced similar issues. This inspired her to start Follow Fleurs Forever, a business aimed at providing a tailor-made service to match the problems and needs of her clients.

Building the Business

To establishing Follow Fleurs Forever, Kelly did her own extensive research as well as taking part in online workshops and  even turning her shed at the bottom of her garden into her workspace. “The practical side of running a business, particularly managing finances, proved to be challenging. Although I am comfortable with admin tasks, the financial aspects were completely new to me, which is where TownSq’s support was invaluable..”

Kelly participated in finance workshops, gained advice from TownSq mentors and ensured to take up every opportunity TownSq had on offer. “I became confident in all aspects of my business. I’ve got the skills I need to manage my business effectively”.

TownSq’s Role in Kelly’s Success

“My journey with TownSq has been instrumental in bringing Follow Fleurs Forever to life. Since first becoming familiar with TownSq in early 2024, I’ve received a wide range of tailored support, specifically in helping to become a first-time business owner.

One of the most significant aspects of the support I've received has been the 121 mentorship through the Accelerator Programme. My mentor, assigned through TownSq, worked closely with me to address unique challenges I’ve faced during the lead up to my launch and helped me in creating a clear strategy in achieving my short term and longer term goals”
